Student ID Number

Your student ID number is a unique seven digit number that is assigned to you by the college. All official school records are attached to this ID. This number is located on your college photo ID, was given to you in your welcome letter and is not retrievable through this system. If you do not know your ID you will need to come to campus with a photo ID and visit the Help Desk.

Employee Number

Your employee number is a unique seven digit number that is assigned to you by the college. The number on your college photo ID is your time clock number and NOT your employee number. If you do not know your employee number, you can check a paycheck stub, contact Human Resources or Administrative Computing.

For example, Stevie Nicks has the following attributes:

Date of Birth Instructions

  • Date of birth needs to be in the format of MM/DD/YYYY
      Examples:
    1. January 1, 1970 : 01/01/1970
    2. November 1, 1985 : 11/01/1985
    3. September 25, 1951 : 09/25/1951
    4. December 31, 2001 : 12/31/2001

Social Security Number Instructions

  • You need to enter the last four of your social security number
      Examples:
    1. 123-45-6789 : 6789
    2. 234-56-7890 : 7890
    3. 456-78-0123 : 0123

College E-mail

Changes to your college e-mail. Beginning July 6, 2015 you will no longer need to have a separate e-mail password for your student e-mail. Your new password will be the same password that you use for campus computers, SCC Connection, Canvas.

Students e-mail accounts are created using the following criteria:

This is created by using the first letter of your first and last name and a six digit number generated by the college followed with the email domain of @my.stchas.edu.

An email address identifies an email mailbox to which email messages are delivered, much like how a street address is used to deliver mail to your home.

For example, Stevie Nicks email address would be:
e-mail: sn123456@my.stchas.edu
Often your SCC Login and your Student Assigned Email Address look similar; however, they serve different functions. Click the SCC Login for more information.

Faculty/Staff e-mail accounts are created using the following criteria:

First inital of first name and last name followed with the email domain of @stchas.edu.

An email address identifies an email mailbox to which email messages are delivered, much like how a street address is used to deliver mail to your home.

For example, Stevie Nicks email address would be:
e-mail: snicks@stchas.edu

Your security answer is recovered exactly as you typed it.

    Some things to remember:
  • Leading and trailing spaces are not ignored and will be saved.
  • Capitalization is saved
  • Choose the question that will generate the fewest words.
  • Punctuation will be remembered.
